Vintage Cotton Ditsy Dress
The exact date of this dress continues to elude me.
Fabricated in a black printed cotton with a ditsy print.
Fastens all the way down center front with plastic buttons.
Features a peter pan collar
Body shirred into rounded front yoke.
3/4 length sleeves
There were 3 rows of elastic in the waist that had completely lost their stretch. I have replaced the top and bottom rows. The self belt cinches the waist.
Very long self belt attached at side seam.
Interior seams have marrow finish
There are inseam set pockets.
The rayon hem tape is quite worn , but continues to do it’s job.
Maker: Unknown. Looks to have been home sewn.
Condition: Very good. See above description regarding elastic. There is wear to the hem tape, but it is holding. See photos. Clean and ready to wear.
