1940s Purple Wool Skirt Suit Swansdown
Fabricated in a purple wool herringbone weave suiting
Jacket is fully lined
Lightly padded shoulders
Full length set in sleeves
Front yoke seam with cute notched detail
Fastens down center front with plastic buttons through bound buttonholes
Fitted with princess seams and darts over the hips
Shaped besom pockets on hips
The gently flared 8-panel skirt is unlined
Fastens with a single button on the waistband
and a button twill tape a the side seam (I assume this originally would have had a metal zipper closure)
1/2" blind hem. (Likely not the original hem)

Condition: Very good. discoloration to the lining most notably at the armholes. Freshly dry cleaned, arrives clean and ready to wear.
