Late 1930s to early 40s Gaytees Overshoes
A gorgeous example of ladies foul weather dress overshoes dating from the late 30s to early 40s.
I have attached two ads, the first from 1939 and the second from 1941
Based on my advertisement research this style of Gaytees was introduced in 1939 as part of their “Town Formals” line.
Described in their 1941 ad as Russian-type and retailed for $6.95 (roughly $140.08 today)
Fabricated in black velveteen
Cuffs trimmed in fur
Cozy flannel lining in a cute checked print.
Side zipper is a Talon metal zipper
Rubber soles
***Please note these are over shoes, meant to be worn with heels. The heels are hollow.

Condition: Excellent. These are in gorgeous condition. Appear to have been only gently worn.

Vintage Size: 6.5 Looks to best suit a 6-6.5 when worn with a slim shoe, but please use measurements below.
