1940s Brown Smartmaid Shoes 6 to 6.5
Brown leather uppers, perforated on the inner and outer ball of foot.

Little to no where on the soles, probably new old stock

Maker: Smartmaid Shoes
Condition: Very Good. a few minor scuffs and scratches. appear to never have been worn outside, if at all. These had been stored with shoe stretchers inside, which had stuck to the footbed of the insoles. It did tear/ damage the insoles. I can not get my foot all the way into these to know whether it causes any discomfort when worn, but it would be easy enough to slip a fresh insole inside if necessary. Please see photos. Freshly conditioned and ready to wear.
Measurements: I wear a modern 6.5/7 (varies by shoe) and these are too small and narrow to squeeze into due to the narrow width at the high vamp/ opening.
Vintage size: These are stamped a 6.5, but run narrow. Look to better suit a 6 to a 6.5 narrow foot. Please use measurements below.

2 15/16"” wide across ball of boot (measured across sole)
Heel height: 2” at center back (1 3/4” measured at side)
