1920s Twill One Piece Knicker Jumpsuit
A very interesting piece. In the past I’ve had two-piece twill hiking/camping knicker sets and suits from the 20s which included a pair of knickers and a matching middy top and have seen plenty of ads for those, but I haven’t seen a one-piece before. It looks like a cross between a gym suit and a knicker suit and looks to have been home sewn.
Fabricated in khaki cotton twill
All buttons are decorative/ non-functional. Fastens with snaps at the shoulder, leg opening and and down the side seam (I have added a hook and eye at the waist and at the top of the side seam opening so that it stays closed.
***The leg opening runs snug when fastened. I have shown it worn fastened and unfastened.
Clean finished with binding on the openings and armholes and neck.
Interior seams raw/unfinished.
Maker: Unknown. No labels. Likely home sewn
Condition: Very good/ excellent. See photos. hand soaked and line dried, arrives clean and ready to wear.
