Late 60s Metallic Organza and Shantung Gown
The bodice is fabricated in a diaphanous raspberry colored synthetic organza, likely nylon or poly, with a metallic gold flower pattern.
The skirt portion is fabricated in a raspberry colored silk shantung
Bodice and skirt are fully lined in rayon lining with the exception of the sleeves.
High neck shirred at center front
Voluminous sleeves with gathered sleeve cap fastens at the wrist with two snaps.
Fully silk shantung skirt gathered into the waist seam.
Fastens down the back with a Talon metal toothed zipper, starting halfway down the back and extending to the skirt, and a hook and eye at the neck.

Maker: Unknown. No labels. According to the previous owner this dress came with a note stating that it was worn in 1969 to a debutante Ball held at Brown Palace in Denver by Ann Love, the wife of Governor John Arthur Love (36th Governor of Colorado from ‘63-73), Unfortunately I was unable to find a photo of her in this dress. (The included photo is at the 1968 Ball. and is just for general ref. Ann is on the far left)
Condition: Very good. ***Please note there is damage at the inside of the fold to the hem, not visible when worn, but the hem can not be let down to a longer length. See photos. hand soaked in a gentle detergent and line dried, arrives clean and ready to wear.
