Maker: Georgia Charuhas. Chicago born designer and artist who moved to Mexico in the 1960s and according to Charuhas, fell into her dressmaking business by accident in the 70s after friends began asking her to make them dresses similar to the ones she had made for herself. Manufactured in Merida in Yucatan, her dresses would eventually be carried by stores including Bergdorf Goodman, Neiman Marcus, Bonwit Teller and Harrod’s. Condition: Very good. Very minor color bleed next to the velvet trim at the sweep of the skirt. See photos. Freshly hand soaked and line dried, arrives clean and ready to wear.
