Likely late 60s but possibly early 70s

Fabricated in a a deep navy blue floral Chantilly lace with heavy iridescent glass beads strategically placed on the flowers.

Fully lined in 2 ply “powder puff” shade rayon taffeta lining with the exception of the sleeves (which are unlined)

Mock neck

Darted bust

Raised empire waist line at center front, slopes down at side seams and around the back, accentuated with a row of beads along the seam.

Lining is fitted with princess line darts in the front and back of the skirt.

Full length unlined sleeves fasten at wrist with a single snap. A delicate lace trims the edge and is mirrored along the hem.

Fastens down center back with a hand set Talon coil zipper and two hooks and eyes at the neck. There are 3 concealed snaps to the lace on the skirt.

Maker: Unknown. No Maker label. Sold through Jelof’s Milburn.

Condition: Good. The sleeves had been lined in silk organza, but it had begun to shatter, so I removed it. There is a very light colored discoloration to the lining only of the armholes. I have noted a small (1/8”) break to the lace on the back shoulder. I have tied off a few broken beading threads. There are a few missing beads here and ther, but nothing obvious. (I have pointed to a few missing by the zipper) See photos. Freshly hand soaked in a mild detergent and dried flat, arrives clean and ready to wear. (recommend dry clean for future cleanings.)
