Fabricated in an unbleached linen

Beautifully hand embroidered

Band collar

Center front split neck with plastic buttons through loop buttonholes

Set in short sleeves with hand stitched blind hem

Fitted with bust darts in the front and waist darts in the front and back

Blind hem clean finished with bias tape

Maker: Hand made possibly for the tourist market or possibly a contemporary (to the 50s/60s) garment. Not a traditional piece. The seller told me it was brought back from Egypt in the 1950s, but offered no more specific information.

Condition: Very Good. I gave this a gentle hand soak but there is a light discoloration to the sleeve edges, and neck. See photos. Freshly hand soaked and line dried. Arrives clean and ready to wear.
