Looks to date to the later 30s to early 1940s.
An unusual style Fabricated in a lush black silk velvet
Trimmed in a folded black rayon faille ribbon in the back with repeats around the crown
Constructed over a plastic net frame
A wire is threaded through the brim to hold it’s round shape

Condition: Good. There are a few rather discreet repairs made to the folded edge of the crown. Due to their location on the fold they look more like a seam than a repair when worn. Overall presents beautifully. See photos. Freshly cleaned and ready to wear.

Circumference: 21” around interior band
Front brim width is about 1 3/8”
Crown Height is about 4”
